In Memoriam: Terrance Elder

News
New!

It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Terrance Elder, co-owner of Triple Play Car Wash, as a result of a tragic automobile accident. Terrance was a gentle, compassionate person who was like a father, brother and friend to his staff, who he treated like family. He was a past board member of the NECA and has helped so many car wash operators in New England and across the country. Terrance will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers go to his family during this difficult time.

Terrance, who was 55 and a longtime resident of Stoughton, died on Friday, August 12, 2022, after succumbing to injuries suffered in a car accident. Born and raised in Cambridge until age 9, he moved to Stoughton where he attended Stoughton Schools and was a 1984 graduate of Stoughton High School. He was the owner and founder of Triple Play Car Wash and Quick Lube in Attleboro, a business he started in 2008 with Dave Ellard. He enjoyed his work, all sports, cars and attending car shows, dining out with family and friends, and loved music.

He was a loyal friend to many and a dedicated father. Terrance was the longtime companion and partner of Julie A. Rogers of Stoughton and the father of Paris L. Elder, Mya E. Elder and Devyn J. Rogers, all of Stoughton. Besides being a family man to everyone he knew, his girls Paris and Mya, were everything and more to him. He never missed an opportunity to brag and be proud of their successes.

He was the brother of Arthur J. “Buzzy” Jarvis of Stoughton and Michael Mascoll of NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Sunday, August 21st from 2-5 PM followed by Funeral Prayers at 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701, in memory of his late mother Barbara Elder. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Terrance K. Elder, please visit the Farley flower store.

His bright smile would always light up a room, and he will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
